Yes, we recommend using olive oil ear drops for a few days before your appointment to help soften the ear wax, making it easier to remove. However, please do not use olive oil drops if you have a perforated eardrum or have been advised not to by a healthcare professional. If you’re unsure, please contact us before your appointment for advice.
Most ear wax removal appointments take approximately 30–45 minutes, allowing time for your consultation, ear examination, treatment and aftercare advice. Ear health checks typically take 20–30 minutes.
